Only 1 bus per hour on my route, so if I miss the first bus I don't get home for 2 hours. Bus never arrives on time. Either 20 min early or late. Don't believe their schedule. Use the app Quickly on Google Play Store to track the bus in real time. Not worth 100+ dollars a month for bus pass for daily commute. 11/21/16: Ran after the bus to catch it, light still red, driver starts to move the bus, I knock on the door for him to open it. He says to go to the next stop. Next stop is 2 blocks away. It's dark and hard to see, I ran to the next stopping point before the stop. The driver was waiting for the light. STILL WOULDN'T LET ME ON THE BUS. I'm done paying close to $150 a month for this joke of a service. I'm out of breath and feeling sick due to the negligence of the discretion of this driver. I've been late for work, surprised by closures and stuffed in with way too many people. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother.

  • This place is just the customer service center - mainly to get ConnectCards and refill them. Despite how busy it gets at times (I once stood in line for ~25 minutes but it was Friday and everyone was rushing to get their business done so I wasn't mad), the people here do their job quickly. I had a ConnectCard that didn't work and they gave me a new one without fuss at all. Every time I get my monthly I've never had any problems. And personally, I like the new fare system. It takes a while to get on with everyone paying at once but all of the other major cities do it.

Assuming this is the organization that runs the Pittsburgh buses, it is run abysmally. The buses are almost never on time (usually at least 3-5 minutes late). There is a bus tracking app which works most of the time but I have seen buses run past me when they were nowhere to be found on the app. I assune this is because the drivers forget to turn on the GPS trackibg app or intentionally choose to keep it turned off. Bus drivers will often drive by even if you are standing at the stop and the bus is empty enough. None of these were problems in the bus services of Seattle, the previous city I lived in. I think the poor public transit forces people to depend on cars and creates more congestion than is warranted in a small city like Pittsburgh. Update a year later: Late buses and a crappy GPS system that doesn't track half the buses. Not worth the city taxes the city charges you.
